Custom Inlay, Resin and Wood Rings

Each as unique as you

My Designs

By creating each ring individually using materials that have natural variances in appearance, no two rings are the same.
Each is unique and one of a kind, just like you.
I'm open to any design ideas you may have, including Memorial rings using a small amount of the ash remains from a loved one or pet you wish to have close to you no matter where you are.
Let's make something as unique as you.

FAQ

Michael Paul Designed uses glow powders made from Strontium Aluminate which is a chemical compound that causes the ring to glow when exposed to a UV light source.

Strontium Aluminate is completely harmless, odorless, and non-flammable with a lifespan of around twenty years!

In order to get a strong and immediate long-lasting glow, I recommend using a high-powered UV flashlight or a UV key-chain light. Natural sunlight will also does a great job of charging the ring by just wearing it out doors during your normal activities.

The brightness and longevity of the glow will also depend on these factors:

  • Glow Color: Aqua and Green are the brightest color options whereas Red is the dimmest option.
  • Daytime Color: Darker daytime colors will dilute the brightness of the glow.

*** To get the brightest glow, I recommend choosing a ring design with an Aqua or Green Glow Color, charging your ring with a UV flashlight, and taking your ring into the dark. The most optimal combination of colors with a UV charge can glow up to 10-15 minutes or longer under normal conditions.

Each ring is handmade to order. Once your order is placed your ring should ship within 1 to 2 weeks. Custom work could take a little longer depending on your request and availability of the materials required for your custom order.

Superconductor is an industrial material, it’s not made specifically for jewelry. If etched, it can have some flaws in it that come out during the etching process. These flaws can vary from small voids in the material to black markings. The industrial nature of superconductor is part of what gives it the rugged appeal that many people enjoy, but it is something to consider when ordering.
Sometimes, with a new ring, the copper within the Superconductor can cause some skin discoloration, but over time that will go away and not be a continuing issue.
Copper will tarnish over time, but it can be cleaned and polished to get it looking like new.

As with any copper based jewelry, copper can turn your finger green, but proper maintenance can help minimize or even prevent this.

* How to Remove Copper Tarnishing
The simplest way to clean copper is to use a mixture of 3 parts lemon juice with 1 part salt.
Mix the lemon and salt together until all of the salt has dissolved.
Dip a clean microfiber towel into the mixture and rub vigorously on only the tarnished copper. Most the time this is all it takes to remove copper tarnishing.
If the tarnish is stubborn, add one part white vinegar to the mixture and try again. Make a final pass with the cleaning mixture over the copper being careful not to touch the copper with your bare skin. Rinse the copper thoroughly.
Apply a coating of car or jewelry wax to the just the Superconductor using a clean microfiber towel. The wax will not only help keep the copper from tarnishing, but it will also creates a barrier that helps keep the copper from turning your finger green.

Your ring has a protective coating that makes it easy to keep clean. Just use a slightly damp micro fiber towel to clean your MPD ring.

Be sure to completely dry your ring immediately to avoid spotting.

***Do NOT submerge any ring containing wood elements in any liquids as it could stain, discolor or cause permeant damage to the wood elements of your ring. Doing so will void the MPD Limited Lifetime Warranty of your MPD ring.***
